The Role
Responsibilities include a core focus on prospecting and solicitation for both the transient and group segments. This includes research and evaluation of accounts with the potential of producing in Hyatt brand properties, engaging with a variety of stakeholders to uncover business opportunities, utilizing multiple internal and external prospecting tools and systems. Understanding key markets, prospecting in new markets, building customer relationships to drive business, and collaborating with hotel colleagues will be core tenets of this role. Additional responsibilities may include travel attendance to in-market networking events, industry events, and sales blitzes. Other responsibilities include:
•Preparing presentations for and holding introductory meetings
•Potential travel to market for new account engagement
•Developing new accounts until turnover to the Account Lead team member is complete
•Building, sending, and closing referrals, both group and transient, across the Americas and other regions as appropriate
Qualifications
Experience Required:
•Minimum 5 years of hotel experience in the same field, industry, or other equivalent business/ function role.
•Strong sales knowledge and business development experience within transient, group, and leisure segments.
•Multiple hotel and brand experience is a plus
Experience Preferred:
•Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Sales, or Business required
•Efficient with computer skills (Microsoft Office)
•Envision, EAS, Agency 360, Lanyon RFP Proficiency, LinkedIn Navigator
The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $90,000. This position is also eligible to participate in a Sales Incentive Plan.
The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
