The Receiving Clerk (Dock Master) is responsible for:

• Checking in all incoming product and guest packages.

• Shipping guest packages and in-house needs.

• Logging, releasing, and inventorying items in the receiving area.

Other duties to include:

• Checking-in/processing all incoming products and guest packages and delivering to the proper departments and storage areas.

• Coding and posting invoices under the supervision of the finance department.

• Working with the residential apartments to arrange move-ins/move-outs.

• Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and organization of the loading dock.

This person must be able to lift a moderate to heavy weight and have basic communication skills. The Receiving Clerk (Dock Master) should strive to maintain a good relationship with all staff members of the hotel, as well as the residential apartments, and our other retail tenants, while also enforcing the dock's standards and procedures. This position reports directly to the finance department.

Qualifications

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.

• Previous food and beverage and/or warehouse experience preferred.

• Previous customer service experience preferred.

• Must be able to lift moderate to heavy weight.

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

• Schedule flexibility, available to work mornings and weekends as needed.

• Highly organized.

• Must be able to effectively speak, read and write in the English language.

• Must have basic computer skills, and a willingness to learn.

• Must be comfortable working with heavy equipment such as a bailer, trash compactor, and pallet jack.

• Have a friendly demeanor and willingness to work as a team.

• Thompson Seattle colleagues begin accruing Vacation Time on their first day of service. At six months of service, colleagues are vested in the time they have been accruing. Full Time & Part Time Colleagues are eligible for vacation time.

• Hire Date Through Four Years - 10 Days or 80 hours
• Five to Nine Years - 15 Days or 120 hours
• 10 years or greater - 20 Days or 160 hours
• Sick Leave:
  • Full time, part time and on-call colleagues accrue and have the right to utilize sick and safe time according to Seattle's Paid Sick and Safe Time Ordinance. As a Tier Three employer all colleagues accrue one (1) hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked starting on their hire date, however, these colleagues cannot use their accrued sick time until they have completed 90-days of employment with Hyatt
• Extended Illness Days: unused sick and safe time in excess of 72 hours converted to Extended Illness Days at the end of each calendar year
• Holiday Pay:

Wage Information: Pay ranges are listed on each job posting individually.

Hourly role: The hourly rate for this position starts at $23.11 starting rate with an increase to $23.61 after 90 days.

Hourly roles with five-year rates: The hourly starting rate for this position is $23.11 starting rate with an increase to $23.61 after 90 days. This position also has an established rate for colleagues who remain in the position for five years, which is an additional $0.50

Hourly roles with seven- year rates: The hourly starting rate for this position is $23.11 starting rate with an increase to $23.61 after 90 days. This position also has an established rate for colleagues who remain in the position for seven years, which is an additional $0.75

Hourly roles with ten year rates: The hourly starting rate for this position is $23.11 starting rate with an increase to $23.61 after 90 days. This position also has an established rate for colleagues who remain in the position for ten years, which is an additional $1.00
