SUMMARY
About the Role - Room Inspector
The Room Inspector plays a vital role in ensuring that guest rooms and public areas consistently meet the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance. By inspecting the work performed by housekeeping staff, providing feedback, and assisting as needed, the Room Inspector helps deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Room Inspection
• Inspect cleaned guest rooms to verify compliance with cleanliness and maintenance standards.
• Ensure all assigned rooms are properly stocked with amenities, linens, and supplies.
• Check for damages or maintenance issues and report them for timely repair.
• Confirm room setups and arrangements are in line with brand and company standards.
2. Support & Assistance
• Assist housekeeping team members when needed during peak times.
• Follow proper cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
3. Communication & Reporting
• Communicate with housekeeping leadership regarding room status, guest concerns, and any issues observed.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate departments.
• Record and report daily inspection results.
• Coordinate with the front desk and other departments to support room readiness.
4. Quality Assurance
• Monitor the overall cleanliness and appearance of hallways, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Conduct spot checks to ensure consistency in cleaning standards.
5. Additional Duties
• Assist with preparing rooms during peak periods or emergencies.
• Follow lost and found procedures.
• Carry out other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
• A warm, caring personality with a strong service mindset.
• Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience is an asset.
• Proven ability to deliver polished, discreet, and professional service.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
• Highly responsible, reliable, and able to maintain composure under pressure.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to meet the demands of the role, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
