Description
Responsible for leading the hotel's commercial strategy, driving revenue growth through the sale of rooms, venues, packages, and complementary services. The main objective is to maximize the hotel's profitability through effective management of the sales team, market analysis, relationships with key clients, and achievement of commercial goals.Main Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and oversee the strategic sales plan aligned with the hotel's financial objectives. • Meet and exceed annual goals for occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and revenue by segments.
• Coordinate with the Revenue Management, Marketing, Operations, and Reservations teams to ensure an integrated commercial strategy.
• Constantly analyze market trends in Tijuana and the border region, identifying opportunities and reacting proactively.
• Capture new business (corporate, leisure, groups, government, medical, etc.) and strengthen relationships with key accounts.
• Supervise compliance with brand standards in all business interactions.
• Coordinate public relations activities, presence at trade shows, industry events, and participation in local associations.
• Conduct and/or oversee site inspections and visits with potential and current clients.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Administration, Tourism, Marketing, Business Relations, or related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in leadership positions in sales within the hotel sector.
• In-depth knowledge of the Tijuana market: corporate segment, maquiladoras, medical tourism, government, and wholesale channel.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both in Spanish and English (oral and written).
• Advanced proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office (Excel), and hotel management systems such as Opera, Amadeus, or similar.
• Experience in forecasting analysis, budgeting, commercial KPIs, and action plans.
• Leadership skills, strategic decision-making ability, and results-oriented.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, with a valid passport and immigration documentation.
• Knowledge of the Hyatt brand or previous experience in international chains is considered a plus.
