About the Role:
The Senior Sales Manager role requires a strategic approach focused on maximising revenue potential across multiple areas, such as corporate meetings, incentives, and MICE events. Reporting into the Director of Sales, this role is instrumental within the sales force and involves strong customer retention and acquisition while developing and maintaining robust relationships.
Main Responsibilities:
• Ability to demonstrate a proactive approach to sales and be a dynamic sales leader who will positively impact our business and clearly define our Regency Brand.
• Retention and acquisition of business via face-to-face calls, telephone and emails, site inspection, and attending client events and meetings.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships across internal and external clients and other market and industry sources
• Maximizing yield potential of business for the hotel
• Working closely with the Director of Sales to develop and implement strategies to maximise business.
• Compile and execute quarterly sales action plans as agreed with the Hyatt Regency Sydney Sales Director.
• Arrange and manage familiarisation trips and educational in line with business needs.
• Works with the Director of Sales - MICE to set annual revenue targets for all direct salespeople, ensuring they are clear on their revenue target and have a planned strategy to achieve their goals.
• Manages the completion of all Envision Preferred solicitations, ensuring they are completed accurately and in line with budgeted guidelines. Ensuring accurate follow-up and internal communication with reservations and accounting departments and confirmation with the client. Ensure property rate sheets are accurate at all times.
• Proactively manages a pre-determined number of key accounts and other active accounts to ensure maximum yield in line with budgetary objectives. Maintain valid call objectives and relevant action plans for each key account/ prospect and ensure all follow-up is executed promptly.
To be Successful:
• Minimum 2 years' experience within a 5-star environment
• At least Bachelor Degree in Hospitality Management or relevant field
• A proven track record in achieving targets and yield management
• Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership skills and relationship management
• Highly motivated, solutions-oriented self-starter with adaptable teamwork style
• Ability to prioritise tasks & manage workload using own initiative
• Ability to multi-task & work under pressure with limited resources
• A team player, maintaining a sense of humour even in adversity is encouraged, fostering a positive work environment
Salary:
$85,000 - $95,000
Sponsorship
Should sponsorship be required, it will be provided through EP2 Management Ltd, the owning company of the Hyatt Regency Sydney.
