To supervise the set-up of all functions and meetings as specified in Banquet Event Orders. To meet customer needs by making changes as desired, keeping in mind the budget and expenses that may result. To supervise the purchase of all supplies needed to operate the control room. Will be responsible for the training of new personnel.
This position supports our Four Points by Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center in Norwood, MA!
Shift varies depending on the events scheduled. Flexibility is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
• Ability to motivate and lead a crew of 4 to 5 Conference Employees during scheduled shift requirements.
• Communicate directly with Hotel and Conference Center Management with concerns and questions related to guest satisfaction.
• Set up and breakdown of Conference Rooms, Ballroom and necessary Public Space for social and conference requirements.
• Meet with Social and Conference guests when technical and arrangement assistance is needed.
• Familiarize self with current audio/visual equipment.
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
• Ability to lift up 50 pounds or more
• Knowledge of all audio visual equipment and computer software programs
• Excellent client customer management skills
The hiring range for this position is $24.38-$30.48 USD. The final salary offer will vary based on individual education, skills, and experience. This position is eligible to participate in FM Global's comprehensive Total Rewards program that includes an incentive plan, career development opportunities, time off allowances, and Sheraton/Marriott employee discount at participating hotels.
