Job Description For Director of Finance

JOB SUMMARY

Functions as the property's strategic financial business leader. The position champions, develops and implements property-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand's target customer and property employees. The position provides the financial expertise to enable the successful implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives while maximizing the return on investment. In addition, creates and executes a business plan that is aligned with the property and brand's business strategy and focuses on the execution of financial and accounting activities and the delivery of desirable financial results.

• Your Responsibilities
  Developing and implementing the company's financial strategy
  Planning and creating the hotel budget based on operational data from other departments
  Monitoring financial results against budgets and forecasts, providing up-to-date reports and analyses to the General Manager and management
  Overseeing the preparation of the company's financial statements for the company's owners, Marriott International, and the General Manager
  Supervising, planning, and directing the work of those responsible for accounting, bookkeeping, and finance, including the payroll process
  Controlling all revenues, incurred costs, and losses of the company
  Managing a team of several accounting and purchasing departments (7 people in total)
  Ensuring compliance of the company's operations with Marriott operational and financial procedures, as well as applicable laws and accounting standards
  Collaboration with hotel operational departments, training in changing regulations, and support in audits and inspections by external bodies
• Our Requirements
  Minimum 3 years of experience as a financial director/manager or a similar position related field
  Higher education in finance, accounting, or related field
  Experience in the hotel industry is desirable
  Knowledge of tax law and accounting standards
  Communicative English (minimum B2 level)
  Openness, communication skills, and commitment to hotel operations
