POSITION SUMMARY
Respond and attend to maintenance requests related to Kitchen Equipment, air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical systems, and general engineering concerns in guest villas, kitchens, Laundry and other operational areas. Perform preventive maintenance on Kitchen equipment's, refrigeration units, and mechanical equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and calibration. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of systems and components including electrical wiring, controls, gauges and Fire and life safety system associated.
Lead and carryout of the installation of new kitchen equipment (Gas equipment, Electrical appliance such as chillers, freezer and cold-rooms). Perform kitchen equipment maintenance, exhaust duct cleaning, and operational coordination with other technical teams. Operate hand and power tools safely and ensure that all tools and machinery are stored, maintained, and used in accordance with safety standards.
Carry out daily inspections, maintain logbooks and checklists, and coordinate across shifts to ensure a seamless flow of technical operations. Display working knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, kitchen equipment, energy conservation, and general building maintenance.
Support with minor repairs, villa preventive maintenance, and emergency response. Follow the Lockout/Tagout procedures before performing any maintenance work. Ensure work areas are clean and organized at all times.
Follow all company safety and security procedures. Report maintenance issues, potential hazards, accidents, or injuries. Complete all assigned safety training and certifications. Maintain a clean and professional appearance, protect company assets, and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information. Engage with guests and colleagues in a courteous and respectful manner, responding to service needs and requests promptly.
Lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 50 pounds without assistance, and heavier items with support. Navigate stairs, service ramps, and ladders, and perform tasks that involve bending, reaching, and physical stamina. Maintain accurate records and complete all job-related duties as assigned
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or HVAC field.
Experience: At least 5 years of related work experience, preferably in a hotel engineering or facilities setting
Maldives Resorts or high-end commercial kitchen maintenance experience is preferred
License/Certification: Driver's License, HVAC Certification (preferred), EPA Universal Certification (preferred)
