This is a temporary position.
The Flex Director, Change Management + Associate Engagement will lead communications and engagement efforts for the Enterprise Procurement transformation. The Director will dually report into the Associate Engagement + Change Management team and the Business Transformation Office. This is a six-month assignment with the potential for extension through 2026.
This person will play a lead role developing and delivering change management and stakeholder engagement for the multi-year transformation of Marriott's enterprise procurement capability, which encompasses behavior, process, and technology change. They will serve as a strategic partner to Enterprise Procurement leadership and will be a key contributor to strategy, planning, content creation, and distribution of executive and stakeholder communications to a wide range of audiences.
Key responsibilities include:
• Develop and execute change management plan, including conducting stakeholder impact/readiness analyses and stakeholder assessments/interviews.
• Conduct change impact analysis and document key changes across behavior, process, and technology.
• Create communication and engagement plan by audience. Develop key messaging and materials to support stakeholder engagement, including written communications, presentations, talking points, speaking notes, and FAQs.
• Partner with Enterprise Procurement leadership to develop and deliver an associate engagement plan, which may include town halls, small group forums, skip-level interviews, opportunities for collaboration and connections, and/or associate recognition.
• Lead feedback loop and/or informal stakeholder check-ins. Identify risks, resistance and performance gaps, and work to develop and implement specific plans to mitigate/address concerns.
• Work closely with continent teams to localize deliverables and ensure consistent global message.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Work Experience
• 4-year degree (or equivalent) from an accredited university required, advanced degree a plus
• 8+ years' experience leading change management, stakeholder engagement, or communications for a variety of change initiatives
• Proven track record consulting to business leaders and designing, developing, and implementing high-impact change and communications solutions in large organizations, using a variety of delivery methodologies
• Ability to develop client-ready material and communicate effectively to a broad range of stakeholders (including senior leaders and hotel associates)
• Strong writer with experience developing and presenting impactful communications and other materials
• Demonstrated success working with and influencing cross-functional work teams in a matrix organization
• Hospitality/lodging industry experience a plus
Knowledge and Skills:
• Experience and knowledge of the design, development, implementation and sustainability of adaptive change management; demonstrated proficiency conducting change impact assessments including documenting and validating changes.
• Exceptional written communication skills including experience developing clear, concise, and logically written business communications including PowerPoint presentations, talking points, speaker notes, and email communications
• Strong verbal communication skills including proven ability to run workshops, facilitate sessions, and effectively communicate and present information to stakeholders
• Editorial experience, strong proofreading, subbing, and editing skills, as well as the ability to develop creative materials and tell a story visually
• Ability to work effectively at all levels of an organization and with and through others as member of a team
• Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications; familiarity with Smartsheet a plus
• Change management certification (e.g. Prosci, CCMP, CMS) preferred

The pay range for this position is $60.38 to $100.63 per hour.
