This is a temporary position.
The Flex Manager, Global Standards is a key member of the Global Lodging Product Standards Team. The scope of this role is centered around the development, implementation, and execution of the brand, operational and non-operational standards as related to Sonder by Marriott, with the goal to meet or exceed the needs and expectations, by partnering with a diverse group of disciplines within the organization. Within this framework, the role provides technical expertise and support to stakeholders inside and outside of the department and the larger working team, and demonstrates knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes. This role is responsible for development & deployment of all supporting tools and resources (to include development of a Sonder specific repository), which in turn allows the Sonder properties to be audited accordingly.
This role focuses on on-time completion of deliverables, and acts as a key point of communication between all stakeholders. As a project team member, this position acts as the first point of contact for any issues or discrepancies as it relates to their key deliverables. This role requires a detail-oriented and analytical individual with the ability to synthesize ideas into well-documented programs and processes that will be utilized by property teams to manage their operations.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable documentation. They will play a crucial role in ensuring that our programs and processes are effectively communicated and implemented across various teams. This position requires a self-motivated and independent individual with the ability to work autonomously while striving towards clearly defined objectives.
The ideal candidate will be capable of managing their own tasks and responsibilities, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to achieving goals.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required
• 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, or related major and 3+ years of relevant professional experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance;
OR
• 4+ years of relevant professional experience in the hospitality industry, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance.
• Prior experience creating tools and/or databases to organize and store information
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
• Supports the day-to-day activities and deliverables of the assigned project, as well as the larger working team, and works with peers to ensure correct and timely data collection, data interpretation and data entry in the appropriate proprietary systems.
• Acts as a key point of communication between all stakeholders, ensuring on time completion of deliverables.
• Monitors partner/customer satisfaction; anticipates and responds to feedback.
• Uses effective communication strategies to build and maintain relationships.
The pay range for this position is $40.81 to $51.78 per hour.
Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.0334 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 9 holidays annually.
