This is a temporary position.
The Senior Manager, Benefits Projects is responsible for driving the governance and delivery of several major benefits initiatives. In this role, the senior manager will work with internal teams and external providers and partners to manage the implementation of a new benefits administration platform and our 2026 benefits enrollment. Both programs require partnership with Change management & Communications and Learning partners to drive the successful implementation.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 7+ years' experience in enterprise program management, leading technology implementation
• Proven experience managing complex, multi-functional initiatives, with demonstrated experience in working with and influencing cross-functional work teams in a matrix organization
• Ability to lead project governance across multiple workstreams, guiding work across multiple project and program management teams
• Expertise managing projects leveraging MS Project and SmartSheets
Preferred
• Experience leading large scale benefits projects
• Prior experience working with business process, change management, communication, and/or deployment programs
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Establish and Maintain Project Governance
• Help drive the implementation and compliance to a governance framework to manage effective operations across internal and external stakeholders
• Manage program tools to enable planning for the deployment of Benefits initiatives, and to help inform Change Management & Communications, and Learning requirements
• Strive for continued process improvement and efficiencies through program implementation
Manage Workstream Activities
• Manage the project management activities for multiple workstreams within the larger program
• Monitor risks, actions, decisions and support workstream in driving tasks to completion
• Manage the roadmap for designated workstreams
• Foresees, identifies and resolves problems
• Support functional team members in preparing for and facilitating leadership conversations
• Lead planning for meetings, facilitation of agenda, preparing content, tracking key actions and documenting decisions and actions; drive clarity in conversations to confirm actions, owners and due dates
• Provide regular status reports & present to key stakeholders on project status as well as key risks, as needed
• Serves as the escalation point of contact for project & leads efforts to resolve escalated issues
Project Delivery
• Partner with Change Management & Communications resources to drive the creation of integrated deployment strategies and plans based upon program requirements and timeline
• Thinks creatively and proactively to develop, execute and implement plans
• Manage the execution of deployment strategies
• Manage the communications process related to defects and support
• Inform and/or update leadership, peers, and subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner.
• Manages time effectively and conducts activities in an organized manner.
• Uses problem solving methodology for decision making and follow up.
The pay range for this position is $52.06 to $83.37 per hour.
