The Marriott eCommerce Products team leads design, development, and innovation on the Marriott websites used by millions of Marriott customers booking business and leisure stays across 9,100+ hotels and 36 brands. Reporting to the Director of eCommerce Products, the Senior Manager, Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) will be responsible for driving a structured and scalable testing program that aligns with our commerce strategy and enhances our digital shopping and booking experience, focused on growing web conversion and revenue. This role sits at the intersection of product, analytics, design, and engineering, with a direct impact on customer experience and revenue performance.
The Senior Manager, CRO will be responsible for identifying key testing opportunities, leveraging digital analytics, session replay, user research, customer feedback and competitive insights, and driving a structured testing program that maximizes customer engagement, booking conversion, and performance. The Senior Manager, CRO will define and manage the product experimentation roadmap from conception to launch in collaboration with key stakeholders across Product, Analytics, UX, and Engineering. The Senior Manager, CRO Lead will act as the product owner for the optimization backlog, translating business objectives into actionable user stories and test plans.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
We're seeking an experienced Conversion Rate Optimization Manager to lead data-driven and dynamic product features that translate into user value for the hotel commerce experience. We're looking for someone who has an entrepreneurial, start-up attitude; a self-starter who takes the initiative to generate momentum and positive business outcomes.
The ideal candidate possesses customer-centric product and UX principles, is a self-starter with a data-driven and design thinking mindset. The person in this role exudes a passion for innovation, identifying trends and opportunities, that can motivate large teams to deliver amazing products that consumers love.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• 6+ years' working in user experience design, data science, experimentation, digital product management, or similar eCommerce roles centered on insights-driven design
• Well versed in a/b testing methodologies
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven approach to decision-making
• Strong knowledge of digital analytics tools like Adobe Analytics, Glassbox, FullStory, Medallia
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects at once
• Ability to articulate product vision, business objective, and technical feasibility
• Ability to identify new opportunities to drive better customer experiences and/or incremental revenue
• Experience in working an Agile/Scrum software development practice.
• BS/BA degree in business, marketing, technology, eCommerce, or related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in travel, sales and marketing, management operations, or related professional area
• Experience with a/b testing tools such as Adobe Target, Optimizely, etc.
• Ability to manage and understand KPIs that can be used to make data driven decisions and requirements
• Ability to define requirements, and technical implementations processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to engage in technical aspects of solutions.
• Experience in developing solutions that address the diverse needs of global customers
The pay range for this position is $52.06 to $85.14 per hour.
