Job Description For Mexico Market Sales Coordinator
Job Summary
Perform general office duties to support Sales & Marketing, including sales-related documentation throughout the sales process (entering leads in SFA or other systems, proposals, follow-ups with customers, contracts, presentations, reporting, prospecting, event orders, filing, emailing, typing, faxing, copying, updating systems). Promote awareness of the brand image internally and externally.
Coordinate and support the Mexico for Mexico and BAMB programs, as well as actively prospect new accounts using tools such as LinkedIn, social media, AI platforms, and other digital resources, in alignment with Marriott standards.
Gather materials and assemble information packages (e.g., brochures, promotional materials). Use sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining guest loyalty to Marriott Hotels. Enter, retrieve, reconcile, and verify information (e.g., commissions, leads, third parties, sales reports, account production, team production) in sales systems.
Answer guest questions about hotel facilities/services (e.g., hours of operation, rates and room types, packages, promotions, entertainment, restaurants, special events). Serve as the point of contact for clients and communicate with them by phone, in person, or via email to respond to questions and requests.
Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support the team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
Perform other reasonable job duties, such as fam trips, site inspections, travel, or any other job-related requests asked by Supervisors.

Proactively address client and guest needs in a sales-driven, service-oriented manner, ensuring timely and professional responses across all communication channels.
Anticipate client expectations by asking strategic questions, identifying business opportunities, and tailoring solutions that align with Marriott's value proposition.
Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients, and key segments identified by the Sales Organization or requested by leadership, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Represent multiple properties with confidence and clarity, ensuring a seamless experience across brands and destinations.
Engage clients in meaningful conversations about their business goals, event needs, and preferences to position Marriott as their preferred partner.
Express appreciation for client interest and loyalty, and ensure a positive and memorable experience throughout the sales journey.
- Communication & Digital Etiquette
Communicate with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders using clear, professional, and persuasive language across all platforms: phone, email, video calls, LinkedIn, and other digital tools.
Apply modern communication etiquette in all interactions, including:
- Answering phone calls within 3 rings with a warm, professional tone and using the caller's name.
- Responding to emails promptly, with clarity, courtesy, and attention to detail.
- Managing LinkedIn and social media messages with professionalism and brand alignment.
- Using Marriott-approved templates and tone for digital communications.
Prepare and review written materials (e.g., proposals, presentations, reports) with accuracy, ensuring alignment with Marriott brand standards.
Collaborate effectively with multi-property teams, sharing information and updates to ensure consistency and alignment in client communication and service delivery.
Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.
Develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees, hotels, and departments.
Partner with and assist others to promote teamwork and achieve common goals.

Perform general office duties to support Sales & Marketing (e.g., filing, emailing, typing, faxing, copying, mail distribution, reporting, presentations, organizing events, trade shows, prospecting, entering leads, follow-ups, quotations, proposals, contracts, site inspections, onboarding new associates and hotels).
Schedule and participate in meetings with priority clients from the sales funnel, as directed by leadership.
Build and maintain strong relationships with meeting planners, offering tailored benefits that differentiate Marriott from competitors.
Participate in trade shows, travels, sales calls as needed to improve sales from prospection of new customers, TMC program, BAMB program or any other activity
Think creatively and 'outside the box' to develop solutions that drive conversions and client satisfaction.
