Position Summary:

The Painter is responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other coatings to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces within the facility. This role involves preparing surfaces, selecting appropriate materials, and ensuring a high-quality finish that meets the company's standards.

Critical Tasks:
• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes and cracks.
• Apply paint, varnish, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Mix and match paint colors to achieve the desired finish.
• Experience in plastering and repairing plasterboard walls and ceilings.
• Ensure all painted surfaces are smooth and free of defects.
• Maintain accurate records of painting activities, including work orders and materials used.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate painting activities and minimize disruption to operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all painting activities.
• Respond promptly to requests for touch-ups and repairs.

Critical Competences:
• Strong knowledge of painting techniques and materials.
• Proficiency in using painting tools and equipment.
• Skill in plasterboard works.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to achieve a high-quality finish.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in painting preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in painting or a similar role.
• Familiarity with industry-standard painting practices and procedures.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
