The Flex Program Manager is a key member of the FLEX team and plays a critical role in helping to shape the workforce at Marriott International.
The Flex Program Manager is responsible for the coordination and execution of Marriott's temporary labor programs across the U.S. and Canada, with a primary focus on supporting hourly staffing needs through the Market Flex program. This role also provides hiring and program support for the Headquarters-based Operations Support Resources (OSR) team, maintaining a pipeline of Flex associates for short-term deployments. The position requires a high level of administrative processing, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex workflows across multiple systems and stakeholders. By leveraging technology and data, the Flex Program Manager ensures accurate execution, vendor alignment, and compliance across both field and corporate programs, while also independently managing special projects, supporting hotel transitions, and driving operational improvements in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
FLEX is a temporary full-time position with an initial assignment of one year and the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.
This is a remote position, and we're open to any location and time zone in the United States.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required
- Bachelor's degree, or related degree.
- 4+ years' experience preferably in an agency recruiting environment.
- Strong proficiency with technology, especially Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)..
- Highly resourceful with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred - Experience with systems including Vendor Management, HR Management, and/or Applicant Tracking preferred.
- Knowledge of Marriott's organization structure, businesses and human resources policies, practices, and procedures is a plus.
- Experience working on property at a Marriott managed hotel, with or for OSR, or managing temporary labor at a hotel is a plus.
- Recruiting experience necessary, contingent labor staffing experience a plus.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Flex Hourly Temp Labor Management - Serve as the primary support contact for the FLEX program, providing guidance to Marriott-managed hotels and corporate-approved vendors through the shared Flex Staffing support mailboxes.
- Manage day-to-day administration of the Vendor Management System (VMS), including work order maintenance, site associations, and ongoing updates.
- Review and act on punch error reports in Simplify, coordinating with hotels and vendors to correct missing or inaccurate data, and identify trends for systemic or location-specific issues.
- Track and manage hotel transitions, including onboarding and offboarding tasks, Simplify and Atlas training for hotel leaders, vendor notifications, and introduction facilitation.
- Conduct quarterly audits of non-corporate spend, verifying temp labor expenses with hotels, identifying headcount needs, sourcing vendor support, and coordinating with Directors of Finance and HR to align on next steps.
- Maintain essential program documentation and compliance records such as certificates of insurance, supplier diversity certificates, and a master property listing for all corporate-approved providers.
- Compile data analytics and quarterly reporting to support procurement strategies and provide market insights to internal stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendor partners and hotel leadership to ensure program success and continuity.
Operational Support Resources (OSR) Recruiting & Hiring Support - Collaborate with OSR leadership and HR Business Partners to assess staffing needs and proactively source talent for future deployments.
- Manage the end-to-end hiring process for OSR associates including candidate selection, onboarding, and assignment creation in the VMS.
- Maintain an active pipeline and internal database of potential candidates and referrals to ensure quick deployment capabilities.
- Oversee OSR-related work order management and ensure proper documentation and system updates throughout the associate lifecycle.
- Utilize Oracle ORC to create and post job requisitions, working closely with the RPO team to advance candidates through the hiring process efficiently.
- Review and assist with background check adjudications to ensure timely and accurate clearance before deployment.
- Coordinate the handoff of new hires to OSR leadership for their first deployment, ensuring all onboarding steps are completed and expectations are clearly communicated.
- Operate with urgency and a high level of attention to detail to maintain a smooth and compliant hiring experience.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of what makes a successful OSR candidate-recognizing that OSR hiring requires unique considerations different from other roles-and articulate the nuances of being a traveling manager and Flex associate to both candidates and stakeholders.
Special Projects & Operational Support - Proactively identify and resolve complex issues by collaborating with stakeholders, documenting root causes, and proposing scalable solutions to improve process performance.
- Independently manage special initiatives and one-off projects requiring cross-functional coordination, critical thinking, and systems knowledge.
- Prioritize and troubleshoot program issues, keep stakeholders informed of progress, and support continuous process enhancements across multiple workflows.
- Provide back-up and supplemental support for compliance tracking, property and vendor records, and ongoing program reporting.

The pay range for this position is $30.86 to $48.65 per hour.
