Description
The Housekeeping Office Coordinator assists with all office duties of the housekeeping department such as payroll, ordering, etc. This position has a high level of guest phone contact. This person must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft word and excel and have the ability to type 25 wpm or more. Excellent communication and organizational skills required. The Housekeeping Coordinator is responsible for contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of the Housekeeping Department within the Rooms Division.
The Housekeeping Coordinator assists with all functions and duties in the Housekeeping Department, including but not limited to:
-opening reports
-Rooms assignment
-Rooms discrepancy checking
-Closing reports
-Assisting housekeepers in the field when needed
-Responding to FO for room, floor or guest requests
-Ensuring the colleagues are providing proper service on the field.-assisting supervisors/ manager with VIP's
-Assisting with inspections when needed
-Tracking and management of special projects
-Assisting with office duties, trace entry, attendance tracking, etc.
-Storage inventories control and upkeep
-Movement of supplies and office organization.
Qualifications
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Open scheduling availability in the early mornings and afternoons, including weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Good customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous administrative/clerical experience required
• Minimum 2 years work experience in hotel operations strongly recommended, preferably in housekeeping
