Key Responsibilities:Assist in the preparation of doughs, batters, and other bakery items according to recipes and production schedules.Operate and maintain bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, and proofers in a safe and efficient manner.Execute baking techniques with precision to achieve desired textures, flavors, and appearances for various baked goods including bread, pastries, and desserts.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace, including storage areas, equipment, and utensils.Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies, notifying management of any shortages or discrepancies.Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times, following proper handling and storage procedures to prevent contamination and ensure product freshness.Collaborate with other members of the culinary team to develop new recipes, menu items, and seasonal offerings.Assist in the decoration and presentation of baked goods, incorporating creative techniques to enhance visual appeal.Follow established portion control guidelines to minimize waste and maximize profitability.Support senior bakery staff in training and mentoring junior team members, sharing knowledge and skills to foster growth and development.Qualifications:Proven experience working in a bakery or pastry kitchen, preferably in a similar role.Formal culinary education or apprenticeship program completion is desirable.Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently, with attention to detail.Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work as part of a team.Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.Physical stamina and dexterity to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.A passion for baking and a dedication to delivering high-quality products to customers.Certification in food safety and sanitation practices is a plus.Job Type: Full-time
