Experience Requirements:
Chef de Partie: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a 4 or 5-star hotel kitchen or upscale restaurant. Commis Chef: 1-2 years of culinary experience in a professional kitchen.
Familiarity with international and/or specialized cuisine (e.g., Arabic, Continental, Asian) is a plus.
Experience working in buffet, banquet, and à la carte service preferred.
Job Purpose:
To support the kitchen operations by preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes in accordance with hotel standards. The Chef de Partie manages a specific kitchen section independently, while the Commis Chef assists in daily food preparation under supervision. Both roles are crucial in maintaining consistency, hygiene, and culinary excellence in a luxury hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to hotel recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the assigned section of the kitchen.
Ensure all food is stored, labeled, and rotated properly in accordance with HACCP and hotel policies.
Assist in mise en place for banquets, buffet, and à la carte services.
Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain consistency and high-quality food across all outlets.
Report any kitchen equipment maintenance issues to supervisors.
Assist in receiving, checking, and storing kitchen supplies.
Follow all hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong passion for cooking and creativity.
Good communication and teamwork.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP).
English required; Arabic is an advantage.
