Responsibilities:
Food Preparation: Prepare and assist in the cooking of dishes specific to Asian cuisine, following established recipes and techniques.
Station Management: Take charge of a specific section or station in the kitchen, such as wok station, grill, or sushi bar, ensuring that all dishes from that section are prepared and presented correctly.
Ingredient Handling: Handle and prepare ingredients, ensuring freshness, quality, and proper storage.
Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the kitchen team, including the head chef, sous chef, and other chefs de partie, to coordinate the overall kitchen operations.
Quality Control: Ensure that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet the established quality and presentation standards.
Sanitation: Adhere to hygiene and sanitation standards in the kitchen, following safety protocols and guidelines.
Training: Assist in training and supervising junior kitchen staff as needed.
Inventory Management: Assist in managing and controlling inventory related to the section or station, including stock rotation and ordering supplies.
Requirements:
Culinary Education: A culinary degree or relevant culinary training is often preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen environment, particularly in Asian cuisine, is beneficial.
Knowledge: Understanding of Asian cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavors.
Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team, as kitchen environments require collaboration and communication.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to the fast-paced and dynamic nature of a kitchen.
Creativity: Ability to contribute ideas and creativity to enhance dishes and menus.
Candidate should preferably have previous experience in a similar role with reputed hospitality organizations.
