The Opportunity
The Director, Commercial Services Openings and Transitions will work across multiple brands in our managed and franchise portfolios to guide our operators and hotel teams through Hyatt's critical path toward opening/portfolio entry and make a positive impact on the hotel's ramp performance.
This role is on the Commercial Services Openings and Transitions team, under the direction of the AVP, Commercial Openings and Transitions, to positively impact the ramp performance of Hyatt's newest hotels.

The Role
The Commercial Services Opening & Transitions team is the connection to all things commercial services O&T process-related, combining opening and transition experience with commercial discipline expertise. Directors are accountable to an assigned set of hotels and the execution of the tasks needed for portfolio entry and ramp performance.
•A process and resource advocate, this role will drive the adherence to Hyatt's critical path and engagement with the Hyatt resources known to impact ramp performance. From systems build to task management, this role serves as the commercial connection for our operators and hotel leaders in the O&T processes, and is responsible for providing direct process oversight of the processes through collaboration.
•An internal orchestra conductor, this role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute tasks and pull commercial levers to support ramp performance. From other IT to Operations, Design Services to the Hyatt Sales Force. The most effective candidates for this role will be champion collaborators.
•Committed to Performance, this role will be laser-focused on creating, modifying, and executing effective ramp strategies for pre-opening, recently opened, and acquisition properties. From effective segmentation and channel mixes to target customer strategies, this role will prioritize performance in the opening and transitions portfolio.
•Connection Point for operators to Hyatt resources and processes, as well as for internal communications. Responsible for documenting, communicating, and escalating the performance of the O&T portfolio.
•Virtual Virtuoso - this role is a remote opportunity and as such is responsible for hosting, managing, and executing all virtual connections, on established call cadences. An ideal candidate is comfortable being on camera for the majority of their day, is capable of making connections virtually, and is proficient in virtual technologies.
This role involves some travel. This role does not travel to openings, but will have some travel to internal meetings. As our portfolio need evolves, travel for this role may increase based on the needs of the business.

The best leaders in this role have high emotional intelligence and are capable of managing in a dynamic and ever-changing environment through critical thinking.

Qualifications
Experience Required:
• 8 + years of managerial experience working in a hotel environment.
• Strong Commercial Acumen - Enough experience to be dangerous in sales, revenue, events, and marketing. Previous Director of Sales, Director of Event, or National Sales experience preferred.
• Franchise environment experience required.
• On-property hotel opening experience preferred, but not required.
• Our team leverages Pacer, Smartsheet, and Microsoft products daily. Experience with these technologies is a plus.
• Experience across multiple brands is a plus, with some lifestyle or luxury hotel performance preferred.
• This role works across the entire Americas, so multicultural work experience and/or Spanish proficiency is a plus.

The salary range for this position is $131,300 to $160,000. This position is also eligible to earn incentive awards, an annual bonus, monthly or quarterly incentives, etc. The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
