Description

The Event Planning Manager is responsible for building and fostering relationships with clients by providing a superior planning experience while creating and coordinating group, meetings and events.
• Generate detailed banquet event orders and communicate with Hotel as well as Food and Beverage Department Heads
• Assist in the development and implementation of effective marketing plans for generating catering revenues
• Optimize room rental charges and event upsell opportunities
• Assist with the monthly forecasting and the annual budget process
• Handle special projects as requested by the Sales Manager, Marketing Manager and Director of Sales
• Ensure that events progress seamlessly by following established procedures, collaborating with other employees, and ensuring accuracy
• Greet customer during the event phase and hands-off to the Event Operations team for the execution of details
• Ensure billing accuracy and conducts bill reviews with the clients prior to processing the final bill
• Manage group meeting space for groups and events
• Identify operational challenges associated with his/her group and determines how to best work with the property staff and customer to solve these challenges and/or develop alternative solutions
• Participate in customer site inspections and assists with the sales process as necessary
• Lead formal pre-event and post-event meetings for small to average-sized assigned groups
• Facilitate Banquet Event Order and Resume Meetings
• All other duties as assigned by leadership
