Hyatt seeks an experienced and results-driven Global Sales Director to join our Hyatt Sales Force - Global Enterprise Team. This Global Sales Director will play a lead role in driving revenue to our entire portfolio of hotels and growing and fostering relationships with Hyatt's largest corporate accounts, with a focus on Life Science / Pharmaceutical customers. There will be a keen focus on co-creation and implementing strategic initiatives with portfolio of global accounts to align our organizations and elevate account performance, including increasing market share and total account revenue (group & transient). In this role, you will be collaborating closely with a dedicated Global Manager, the broader Hyatt Sales Force, and individual hotel teams, where you'll be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company. The Role
The Global Sales Director is responsible for the overall account management and strategic collaboration between Hyatt and a set portfolio of global accounts, primarily HQ'd in the US and focused on the Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences vertical market. Your role will include negotiating competitive deals and implementing strategic initiatives that offer value to the customer while maintaining profitability to Hyatt. You will drive impact through aligning our organizations at the highest levels in order to grow market share, increase total account revenue, and find new business opportunities within these set accounts to exceed financial targets.
The ideal candidate must be experienced with the group and transient segments, possess a strong customer service mindset, and have a sound understanding of the group contracting process, ideally with experience negotiating MSAs. Familiarity with the nuances of the Life Science / Pharmaceutical segment and a strong network of connections in this vertical segment is a plus. Due to the very high group lead volume, this position will require a highly organized individual possessing an entrepreneurial spirit, strong follow-up and negotiating skills, and the ability to effectively resolve conflict. As this position is responsible for Total Account Management, the Global Director will also be tasked with using a data-driven approach to grow Hyatt's presence in customers' transient hotel programs, identifying new business opportunities for our hotels, and leveraging relationships and Hyatt's value proposition to grow revenue and exceed sales targets.
While this is a remote position that requires a highly motivated individual, this role will require travel to maximize and grow relationships with customers, colleagues, and our hotel partners. Developing and executing strategic sales plans for assigned accounts will also be an essential responsibility of this role. You will be expected to stay current on market conditions, forecasts, and trends and translate to action with proactive measures to drive sales, including planning brand awareness activations for this vertical segment, organizing sales missions, professionally representing Hyatt at key customer engagements and industry functions as needed, and leading QBRs and customer strategy sessions.
Our Hyatt Sales Force team cross-collaborates with all commercial areas of the organization and is empowered to leverage the full power of the brand to grow the partnership with their account base. The Global Director will also have responsibilities focused on educating our hotel partners on the value proposition of our Global Enterprise partnerships and business opportunities, including fostering an environment for idea sharing strategies to drive business to individual properties. Additionally, they will act as the Global lead for key accounts and will work with global HSF counterparts to drive revenue in their respective regions.
This position will manage an assigned Global Manager who will serve on his / her team and share account management responsibilities and align on strategic priorities that support growth initiatives and goals. The Global Director will also share a Coordinator with several peers to support with administrative tasks and overall Global Enterprise team success. The Global Director will report directly to the Senior Global Sales Director, Global Enterprise. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to understanding customer trends, day-to-day account management, handling leads and RFPs, collaborating on strategic company initiatives and projects, and maintaining travel expenses within a set budget.
Qualifications
Experience Required:
•7+ years hotel sales experience with proven track record
•Extensive experience with the Group / MICE Segment
•Strong understanding of the Corporate Business Travel / Hospitality industry
•Working understanding/experience with Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical customers
•Comprehensive knowledge of Hotels and the Operational and Sales Practices
•Experience working with and negotiating MSAs and Hotel Contracts
•Solid written and verbal communication skills with an ability to stay nimble and creative
•Strong presentation skills
•Organizational master with a keen ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
•Successful history of balancing the competing priorities of internal and external customers
•Able to work remotely and independently from a home office
•Ability to possess, develop, and retain a strong network of industry and client relationships
•Proficient in the full MS Office Suite
•Strong knowledge and command of Envision, Cognos, Thoughtspot, Cvent Transient (Lanyon), Cvent Group, and Agency 360

The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $135,000. This position is also eligible for the Hyatt Global Sales incentive plan.
The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
