Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and staff performance. This includes managing the daily activities of the housekeeping department, training staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house.
- Hire, train, and evaluate housekeeping staff; manage schedules and payroll.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure quality standards are met.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and cleanliness standards.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linen, and guest room amenities; place orders as needed.
- Manage laundry operations and outsourced cleaning services if applicable.
- Address and resolve guest complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with engineering and front office departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency and service quality.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of housekeeping equipment.
- Prepare and manage the housekeeping budget.
Requirements:- Experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager in a hotel environment preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in housekeeping management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Hospitality Management is a plus.
Working Conditions:- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Physical requirements include standing, walking, lifting, and bending.
