The Senior Event Sales Manager is responsible for selling and servicing events, which may include, but not limited to Corporate Events, Association Events, Galas, Holiday Parties and Weddings. Primary sales efforts are in Banquet Food, Beverage and Meeting Room Rental. and include menu planning, agenda setting and hotel meeting services. Must be effective at selling, both proactively and reactively, the services of the hotel to gain commitment from the client and work well with all departments in the hotel to ensure that services are delivered as communicated to the client. Responsibilities also include contract review and facilitating communication before, during and post event with pertinent hotel staff to include obtaining and detailing all food, beverage, set-up and A/V needs, managing room blocks and pick up, billing instructions and final review to ensure a high level of service. The Senior Event Sales Manager is the on-site contact and is responsible for the smooth execution of groups and events. High quality of selling, planning, implementation and executing is required.
The Senior Event Sales Manager is a leader in the department, participating in and supporting initiatives within the Sales and Events team and training and mentoring Event Managers and Trainees. The Senior Event Sales Manager may lead event meetings and other staff meetings, and work as a team member with the sales and events staff. The manager also works closely with an assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff, and may take on additional leadership functions and projects as assigned by Director of Sales, Marketing & Events.
Wage Information:
The starting salary for this position is $77,968.80 to $83,000 which is applicable for the first year of employment. The entire range for the position is $77,968.80 to $95,700. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, including experience, qualifications and education.
