Job Summary:
The Spa Attendant at Life in Balance Spa, Miraval The Red Sea, plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and peaceful environment for guests. This position is responsible for ensuring the spa facilities are clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times. Spa Attendants are key to providing guests with an exceptional, relaxing experience by maintaining the spa's appearance, assisting with guest needs, and supporting the operational flow of treatments and wellness services. The Spa Attendant will work closely with the Operations coordinator and other team members to ensure that all wellness spaces, including the Spa and if support is needed, Mindfulness Center, Serenity Center, and Aquatic Center, remain calm, inviting, and aligned with Miraval's holistic wellness philosophy. Additionally, the Spa Attendant will maintain daily, hourly, weekly, and monthly checklists to ensure the wellness spaces are consistently ready for guest use.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Maintenance & Cleanliness:
- Ensure the spa facilities are consistently clean, organized, and in excellent condition, including treatment rooms, relaxation areas, changing rooms, and restrooms.
- Maintain cleanliness of all public areas in the spa, including waiting areas, locker rooms, and lounges, following Miraval's high hygiene standards.
- Sanitize spa equipment and tools after each use, ensuring all items are properly stored and ready for use.
- Regularly inspect the spa equipment and wellness spaces to ensure they are in working order, reporting any issues or maintenance needs immediately to the appropriate department.
- Prepare and maintain spa towels, robes, slippers, and other spa amenities, ensuring guests have everything they need for their treatments and overall spa experience.
Guest Assistance & Service:- Greet guests warmly, providing them with assistance and information about the spa, treatment offerings, and wellness programs at Miraval.
- Ensure guests have a seamless experience, offering towels, robes, slippers, and water as needed and escorting them to treatment rooms or wellness spaces.
- Assist guests requests, ensuring their comfort and needs are met throughout their spa visit.
- Provide support to spa therapists by preparing treatment rooms and assisting with guest transitions between treatments.
- Escort guests to the relaxation area before and after their treatments, offering assistance and ensuring their comfort.
- Maintain a mindful and calming presence, helping guests feel relaxed and at ease in the spa environment.
Operational Support & Checklists:- Maintain daily, hourly, weekly, and monthly checklists to ensure that wellness spaces are prepared and cleaned according to Miraval's standards.
- Report and document any issues with spa equipment, cleanliness, or space setup immediately, seeking assistance from the appropriate departments for resolution.
- Support the Operations coordinator and team in ensuring smooth operations, ensuring the spa space is always ready to meet guest needs.
- Assist with inventory tracking for spa supplies, ensuring towels, robes, slippers, and other amenities are properly stocked.
Spa Program and Service Knowledge:- Maintain a thorough knowledge of spa treatments and wellness services, ensuring that guests are informed and have all the information they need to choose treatments or services that align with their wellness goals.
- Promote spa services and retail products by informing guests about additional offerings that could enhance their experience, while ensuring all suggestions are in line with the guest's wellness journey.
Collaboration & Team Support:- Work collaboratively with the spa reception team, therapists, and fitness and wellness instructors to ensure smooth operations and seamless guest experiences across the wellness areas.
- Support the Head of Scheduling and other team members by actively participating in team meetings, training sessions, and maintaining open communication.
- Foster a positive and supportive environment among colleagues, ensuring a harmonious and guest-centered team atmosphere.
Qualifications Qualifications & Experience:- Minimum 1 year of experience as a spa attendant, housekeeping, or in a hospitality setting within a luxury wellness resort or spa environment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with guests in a friendly, professional, and attentive manner.
- Knowledge of spa treatments and wellness services is a plus, with the ability to learn and retain information related to spa programs.
- Proficiency in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus).
- Attention to detail, with the ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for wellness, mindfulness, and creating exceptional experiences for guests.
