The Director, Talent Acquisition Strategy & Process Innovation, will directly contribute to shaping the future of talent acquisition across our global organization by helping to design and implement forward-thinking talent acquisition strategies and processes that elevate candidate experience and enable scalable growth. CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, Organizational Design, Digital Transformation, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, HR strategy, or business transformation, preferably with a global scope.
- Prior experience in management consulting or a strategy function is highly preferred.
- Understanding of the talent acquisition lifecycle, systems (ATS/CRM/AI tools), and current trends in digital hiring.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional, matrixed teams in a complex global organization.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Bias for action, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Global TA Strategy & Innovation - Develop and execute global talent acquisition strategies aligned with workforce planning and enterprise priorities.
- Identify and drive process innovations that enhance efficiency, quality of hire, and enable global centers of scale.
- Partner with global TA leaders and cross-functional teams to pilot and implement new ideas and practices across regions.
Process Design & Optimization - Map and evaluate end-to-end TA processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for simplification and automation.
- Standardize best-in-class global processes while allowing for localized flexibility where needed.
- Develop governance frameworks and implementation plans to support the adoption of new processes and tools.
Technology Strategy & Integration - Serve as a key contributor to the evolution of Marriott's global TA technology ecosystem (e.g., ATS, CRM, AI scheduling, interview intelligence).
- Collaborate with HRIS, IT, and vendors to evaluate emerging technologies, develop business cases, and support implementation.
- Ensure technology decisions are informed by global recruiter, hiring manager, and candidate feedback to improve usability and impact.
Experience Design & Continuous Improvement - Use data, journey mapping, and user research to understand recruiter and candidate experiences and uncover friction points.
- Champion human-centered design and continuous improvement practices across all TA initiatives.
- Define and track key performance indicators to measure impact and drive accountability.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Governance - Lead cross-functional working groups to align strategy, prioritize initiatives, and ensure integrated delivery.
- Support global TA transformation initiatives, including change management, communications, and stakeholder engagement.
- Help maintain a global roadmap for talent acquisition innovation in partnership with the Global TA Leads and TA leadership team.
What This Role Is Not - Not a Recruiting Operations Role: This role does not manage day-to-day hiring activities, candidate pipelines, or regional recruitment delivery.
- Not a System Administrator Role: Technical configuration, maintenance, release management, and user support for TA systems are handled by HRIS and IT teams.
- Not a Regional Execution Role: The role provides strategic direction and innovation frameworks, but execution is led by local or regional TA teams.
- Not Limited to One System or Tool: This role looks holistically across the entire TA tech stack and experience journey-it's not tied to managing a single platform (e.g., only the ATS).
The salary range for this position is $125,600 to $209,300 annually.
