Job Description For FLEX Manager - US and CAN Franchise IT Compliance
This is a temporary position.
We are seeking a manager to join the Franchise IT Program team. This individual will play a critical role in driving compliance with Marriott's Franchise IT standards, policies, and best practices, while ensuring stakeholders are equipped with the tools and support needed for success. The manager will be responsible for supporting efforts that impact the broader Franchise IT Program strategy and objectives.
The role requires strong engagement with both internal and external Marriott Franchise stakeholders, including property General Managers (GMs) and IT leadership at Franchise Management Companies (FMCs) across a wide range of property sizes, budgets, and levels of IT maturity. The ability to tailor communication and support based on varying levels of IT acumen is essential to ensure effective collaboration and adoption of Marriott's IT standards.
A key focus will be on using data and analytics to identify areas of non-compliance and support remediation efforts. The manager will also help establish best practices for Franchise IT compliance and IT education and policy socialization through collaboration with Owner Franchise Services (OFS), and Marriott Service Desk teams.
Additionally, the manager will work closely with the Property Security Compliance Verification (PSCV) team, product owners, and vendors to ensure consistent alignment with compliance objectives and to support the overall success of the Franchise IT Program and Marriott's Franchise IT standards.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required:
- College degree or equivalent work experience. Possess at least 3 years' experience in like Information Technology position.
- Able to integrate and balance priorities, work activities and resources for the benefit of multiple key stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills, including experience facilitating meetings, influencing others through data analytics, and keeping stakeholders up to date on key compliance initiatives the team is working on.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Direct or indirect management experience that includes coaching and developing associates with minimal guidance
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience with JIRA and Agile Frameworks and Methodologies
- Strong understanding of hotel property operations to understand the impact and work effort to execute compliance actions
- Experience with reporting dashboards and metrics tracking
- Solid organizational and analytical skills for planning, coordinating, and monitoring remediations
- Experience identifying and analyzing alternative solutions to complex problems and providing guidance and advice
CORE WORK ACTIVITIESCompliance - Partner closely with Security teams, product owners, and vendors to align on security and compliance objectives.
- Support the identification and remediation of IT-related risks through data-driven insights and collaboration.
- Drive adherence to Franchise IT standards, policies, and best practices across a diverse property portfolio.
- Leverage data and analytics to identify non-compliance trends and ensure timely remediation.
Stakeholder Management - Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including General Managers (GMs) and Franchise Management Companies (FMCs), across varying property sizes, budgets, and IT maturity levels.
- Translate technical IT requirements into clear, operational language to ensure understanding and effective implementation at the property level.
- Provide tailored support and communication based on stakeholders' varying levels of IT acumen.
Managing Projects and Priorities - Oversee multiple IT and compliance initiatives, ensuring alignment with program goals and timelines.
- Balance strategic priorities with operational needs across diverse property types.
- Maintain clear project plans and adapt quickly to shifting priorities and risks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues and drive timely execution.
The pay range for this position is $40.81 to $60.00 per hour.
Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.0334 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 9 holidays annually.
