POSITION SUMMARY
Facilitate exceptional hospitality and service by enhancing the guest experience with a focus on the location's Group and VIP guests' needs. Work as a member of the Transient Sales and Reservation Department supporting several aspects of the Sales & Marketing Operation. Generate business travel leads, facilitate customer service events and promotions that drive loyalty and share in the transient travel segment. Process all reservation requests, changes and cancellation received by phone, fax, or mail. Identify guest reservation needs, determine appropriate room type, and verify availability of room type and rate. Explain guarantee, special or group rate and cancellation policies to all reservation inquires. Accommodate and document special request from travel agents, clients, and meeting planners. Monitor accuracy of room block and reservations for assigned group blocks. Input group rooming lists using reservation systems, revise room blocks to maintain the required number of available rooms and keep organized files of all groups and transient customers. Set-up proper billing accounts according to accounting policies. Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally. Support Travel Industry Sales Manager with all sales initiatives that relate to transient travel.
Follow all company policies and procedures: verify personal appearance is clean and professional; maintains confidentiality of proprietary information; protects company assets. Welcomes and acknowledges all guests according to company standards; anticipates and addresses guests' needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speaks with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephone using appropriate etiquette. Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others; supports team to reach common goals; listens and responds appropriately to the concerns of guests as well as employees. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested Supervisors.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major.
Related Work Experience: 2 years' experience in a guest services, front desk, or related sales area.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
License or Certification: None
