UAE-headquartered hospitality company, TIME Hotels, has announced five new senior appointments to support the company in its expansion plans across MENA region.
TIME Hotels Management CEO, Mohamed Awadalla said: “With these great new additions to the TIME Hotels team, we are looking to continue maintaining, expanding and delivering international standards of hospitality service throughout the region.
Meet the team:
Toufic Tamim, Vice President - Commercial
With over three decades of experience in the hospitality sector, Toufic Tamim is an industry powerhouse who will be leading TIME Hotels’ sales, marketing, e-commerce and revenue department.
Prior to joining the team, he was the Corporate Commercial Director of Dur Hospitality in Saudi Arabia where he handled the overall sales operations, marketing, communication, revenue management, distribution and digital strategy for nine operating hotels in Jeddah, Tabuk and Riyadh.
He served 16 years of his career in Movenpick Hotels & Resort. He was the Vice President of Sales & Marketing - Middle East and Africa where he led commercial departments including sales, marketing, communications, revenue management, distribution, meetings & events, global sales and central reservations. He also held senior positions with other renowned hospitality chains including Rotana Hotels & Resorts and Hilton International.
As a hospitality industry veteran, Toufic has a wealth of knowledge in strategic revenue growth, key client acquisition and operational efficiency. He has demonstrated great ability to manage teams and deliver results in a highly competitive environment. Given his past success with global hotel brands, Toufic will be a key asset in the ongoing development of TIME Hotels.
Ismail Makda, Vice President of Finance
Ismail is a dynamic self-starter and brings over 30 years’ of hands-on experience in the hospitality industry to TIME Hotels, with a rich mix of financial management and control, deep operational insight, business turnarounds, internal/external process re-engineering and systems implementation. Having held unit, regional and corporate finance roles, Ismail has a broad understanding and a strong track record of driving value at all levels in the hospitality industry.
A commercially focused seasoned hotelier, he previously worked with hospitality chains including Jumeirah Group (Dubai HQ), Prima Hotels (UK), Shire Hotels (UK), Moat Houses (UK). He has a versatile character & is renowned for being a troubleshooter with a history of recalibrating a facility management operation, delivering a shared service center, leading a corporate pre and post-opening function, and project managing key priorities in an effective manner.
Mary Joe Estiphan, Business Development Manager
Mary Joe joined the team from the United States of America and has 8 years of professional experience in the hospitality industry. Before relocating to the United States, Mary Joe was with Lancaster Eden Bay Hotel in Lebanon where she was the Sales Manager handling the leisure market. She also worked as a Sales Representative in Four Points by Sheraton – Marriott Lebanon where she was handling the leisure & corporate market.
With her experience in the different markets, Mary has gained knowledge in researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities and contacting potential owners and owner representatives for future business opportunities. This makes her a great asset to TIME Hotels in developing and growing the brand.
Ghada Ziadeh, Loyalty Program Manager
Ghada has been in the hospitality industry for over 17 years and has previously launched three different loyalty and rewards programs with Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts. Her areas of expertise are Marketing, loyalty programs, project management, corporate identity, brand management, training and social media.
Ghada has a BA degree in hospitality management from Glion institute of higher education and an MS degree in global Marketing from the University of Liverpool.
With her vast experience in this field, Ghada will join to reshape TIME Rewards program and integrate a new CRM Platform.
Rita Giendy, Hotel Manager - TIME Asma Hotel
Rita Giendy will be leading TIME Asma Hotel, a 4-star hotel in the shopping district of Al Barsha. Rita has been in the hospitality industry for the last twenty-two years and has gained knowledge in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with our established best practices. In her new role, she will oversee the operations of all departments and work to meet the short and long-term hotel requirements to ensure the success of TIME Asma Hotel.
She previously worked for National Corporation for Tourism & Hotels (Danat Hotels & Resorts) as an Interim General Manager where she ran the daily business operations, developed & implemented growth strategies and managed hotel budgets.
Rita started her career with Conrad Cairo in Egypt and moved up the ranks in different Hotel Chains including, Sheraton Miramar Resort El Gouna Red Sea, Le Royal Meridien, Grand Hyatt, Accor, Kuwait Airways, and Novotel & Ibis Gate Abu Dhabi & Novotel Aparthotel Adagio Abu Dhabi Al Bustan as she developed and experienced career growth in hotel management.
