Chef Nitin Ramachandra Shende is an accomplished Chef and professor. He began his career in Abela & Co LLC, Dubai in 1999. Chef Shende was appointed as the Assistant Resident Commissioner in the Maharashtra Sadhan, New Delhi in 2014 .He is also the Chairman for Diploma Hotel Management & Catering Technology Course Committee for AICTE Curriculum Development and a member of the NBA for Designer of SAR for hospitality courses and the IFCA Head for Educational Wing. Chef Nitin also worked with IFCA for mapping curriculum for skill development at par with world chef Chef Shende has helped several under privileged students to build a career by conducting skill development programs. He has contributed immensely to the world heritage food festival in Amritsar. His contribution in 8th icc and other IFCA events are notable . He also published papers in various national and international conferences and journals. Chef Shende was awarded the Bharat Gaurav Award in 2017. He was presented with the Best Young Chef Mentor award at the IFCA`s 8th International Chefs Conference, 2019 for his tireless efforts in creating a difference in the lives of several Young Chefs.
Chef Nitin Ramchandra Shende, representing IFCA and the Government Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Nagpur inaugurated the Cuisine Theatre at the Indian Culinary Institute, Tirupati with a wonderful demonstration on "Easy Techniques to prepare basic sauces, their derivatives and platting techniques" on the 20th of February 2020. The demonstration was coordinated by Chef Vishnu Priya Devi and Chef Rajasekhar. The Theatre, with a seating capacity of 72, has state-of-the-art facilities for demonstration and intends to hold many expert/celebrity demonstrations for the students.
