Mövenpick Grand Al Bustan Hotel & Convention Centre Dubai is proud to welcome Mr. André Grove as our new Food & Beverage Manager — a passionate leader whose journey through hospitality is both inspiring and deeply grounded in people-first values.
Born and raised near Cape Town, South Africa, André’s love for the industry began at just 14 while working in his family’s restaurant. After high school, he traveled to the USA, sharpening his culinary skills as a pizza maker and griller, all while embracing new cultures and experiences.
André holds a diploma in Sport, Sales & Marketing Management and was a proud cricket representative of Stellenbosch University. His professional journey truly took off in the UK, where he worked at a hotel in Exeter — growing from pot washer to guest relations officer in just two years.
In 2007, André moved to Dubai and joined Rmal Hospitality as a waiter, gaining experience across top brands like Wagamama and Trader Vic’s. He later joined Southern Sun, where he helped launch the iconic Nezesaussi Grill. Under his leadership, the venue earned several titles at the Time Out Awards — including Best Sports Bar and Best Restaurant Team from 2009 to 2011.
His career continued at Emirates Golf Club in 2011, managing F&B for global sporting legends like Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. In 2015, he joined Emaar, expanded Nezesaussi to Dubai Marina, and led his team to multiple awards. He was also shortlisted for Restaurant Manager of the Year by Hospitality Awards Africa & Middle East.
Promoted to F&B Manager in 2018 and later Operations Manager for Arabian Ranches Golf Club, André was named Leader of the Year at Manzil Hotel and recognized for achieving the highest F&B quality scores within Emaar.
In 2024, he led his team to win Best F&B Team (59 Club Awards), opened a third Nezesaussi Grill, and was honored as Best GM of the Year, Top 30 Most Influential Managers, and Most Popular Manager at the Hozpitality Awards.
Now with us, André brings not just experience — but heart, vision, and the drive to elevate every dining moment. Here’s to a bright new chapter at Mövenpick Grand Al Bustan.

Welcome to the Family, Chef Milon!

We’re thrilled to welcome Chef Milon Anthony Rozario as the Executive Chef of Mövenpick Grand Al Bustan Hotel & Convention Centre Dubai!

Originally from Kolkata, the City of Joy and the home of Mother Teresa, Chef Milon brings with him not just a wealth of culinary experience—but a name that truly reflects his spirit. Milon, meaning friendship and meeting people, perfectly suits a chef who has dedicated his life to bringing people together through food.

Chef Milon began his journey with a formal three-year catering diploma, followed by a prestigious apprenticeship at the iconic Oberoi Hotel, Mumbai. In 1992, he moved to Dubai and joined the legendary Chicago Beach Hotel—now known as Jumeirah Beach Hotel—marking the start of an incredible culinary journey in the region.

After a successful stint in Bahrain with the Dilmun Group overseeing multiple properties, he returned to Dubai and served as Executive Chef at Marco Polo Hotel for 12 years. He later brought his expertise to Citymax Hotels and played a pivotal role in the pre-opening of the Gevora Hotel, recognized as the tallest hotel in the world.

His most recent role was at Canal Central Hotel before joining our Mövenpick family.

- Over the years, Chef Milon has been recognized with several prestigious awards:

- Best Restaurant Awards – Indian (2006), Tex-Mex (2012), Chinese (2013)

- Senior Member and Judge with Emirates Culinary Guild

- Participant in Guinness World Record culinary events with ECG and DTCM

- TV Cookery Shows & Features in multiple food and lifestyle magazines

He also holds certifications in Advanced Hygiene (Level 4), Fire Safety, Chemical Handling, and Tourism Awareness from Dubai Police.

With such a passionate, seasoned, and community-minded chef on board, we are incredibly excited for what lies ahead for our culinary offerings.
