MIA Hospitality Management Expands South Florida Portfolio with Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port
Acquisition strengthens MIA Hospitality’s presence in a key travel hub, enhancing offerings for business and leisure travelers alike.

Miami, FL — September 30, 2025 — MIA Hospitality Management (MIAHM: Mastery • Innovation • Assurance) announces the expansion of its management portfolio with the addition of the Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port. The 174-room hotel, located in Dania Beach, Florida, strengthens MIAHM’s presence in one of the region’s most dynamic and active hospitality markets. Just minutes from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Port Everglades Cruise Terminal, the property is positioned to capture the area’s steady demand from business and leisure travelers alike, as well as transient guests drawn to the region’s connectivity and year-round activity.
Owned by Fort Lauderdale CY LLC and originally developed by Robert Finvarb, the hotel becomes the sixth property to join the MIAHM’s management portfolio since its launch earlier this year. With this latest addition, the company now manages over 900 rooms, reinforcing both the scalability of its owner-operator model as well as its rapid growth in the South Florida market and beyond.
“Our expansion into the Fort Lauderdale hospitality market is a natural step for us,” said Brian Vujnovic, CEO & Co-Founder of MIA Hospitality Management. “This property sits at the intersection of cruise travel, business, and leisure demand, and we see ample opportunity to enhance performance while creating an outstanding experience for every guest who walks through the door.”
The Courtyard offers a variety of guest accommodations from king and double rooms to select suites designed for extra comfort. Guests can enjoy casual dining at The Bistro, which serves breakfast favorites in the morning and dinner with cocktails in the evening, or relax by the outdoor pool. The property also features a fitness center, 2,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, complimentary airport shuttle service, and a business center with work pods and free WiFi. In addition to serving transient guest demand due to its proximity to the airport, cruise port, I-95, and the Tri-Rail station, the hotel is just minutes from Dania Pointe, a vibrant open-air shopping, dining, and entertainment destination that is a favorite for visitors and locals alike.
The addition further broadens MIAHM’s select-service portfolio under the Marriott International umbrella, complementing the company’s existing management of the Courtyard Miami Coconut Grove, AC Hotel Miami Brickell, and the Element by Westin Miami Brickell. The property also strengthens the company’s reach into a critical travel hub, where peak demand is driven by cruise departures, conventions, and regional events, and strategically positions them to capture a diverse mix of business, leisure, and airline-related travel.
“Bringing this property under MIAHM management is an important milestone for our team,” said Robert Finvarb, Partner & Co-Founder of MIA Hospitality Management. “As the hotel’s original developer, it is especially gratifying to now oversee its operations as a part of the company’s expanding footprint. We are thrilled to continue building a portfolio defined by accountability, performance, and long-term value for owners, guests, and associates.”
