EVOK Hotels Presents a New Literary Prize in the French Cultural Landscape
Launch the very first EVOK literary award.
Paris, April 19th; Evok proudly presents the launch of the first Evok literary award. There are many prestigious literary awards — some offered by institutions, others that are special or specific, some that are selected by specialists, and still others that are chosen by readers. Now Emmanuel Sauvage, conductor of the Evok group, with exuberant intelligence and creativity, has teamed up with the literary skills of Tristane Banon, who has been a novelist for 20 years, and Emmanuelle de Boysson, a novelist and culture journalist who has founded several literary prizes, to launch the very first EVOK literary award.
The EVOK literary award is a radical step, yet another sign of Evok’s bold willingness to always go off the beaten path. This award is like a bubble of light that will recognize the best summer book. A book that must have obvious literary qualities, but also fit that very special state of mind that goes with the summer season. Evok has chosen a selection of diverse award members that will change from one year to the next, made up of 12 people from the world of culture and media and across all forms of the arts.
During a first meeting of the jury, six novels published during the year and previously selected will be presented and given to the comittee. After a little over a month of reading, deliberation will take place, followed by the award ceremony on May 27, 2020 in the Suzanne Suite of the Brach Hotel, the second Evok hotel, designed by Philippe Starck.

About EVOK
EVOK, the creator of living spaces, was formed in 2014 by 3 co-founders: Owner Pierre Bastid, his right-hand man Romain Yzerman, and General Director, Emmanuel Sauvage.
A classic French touch at the Nolinski, the Restaurant du Palais Royal, and the Cour des Vosges, an exclusive one at Hameau de la Volière, relaxed at Brach, and quirky at Sinner. In response to the different tastes, the different worlds of guests: A lifestyle for luxury style, a central theme that defines each space in the group. A collection that burgeons across borders. Different, enriching projects.
Diving straight into the atmosphere of a village, a neighbourhood, experiencing every pulse. Discovering its traditions and style. That’s the Evok spirit. Starting again from scratch to create new emotions. Finding a special place, rediscovering it, and offering it a second lease of life at the hands of designers such as: Starck, Auer, Deniot, Tollemer, Lecoadic & Scotto.
Each hotel, with its own ambition, universe, quality of life inspired by the ground it stands on. Today, Evok employs over 600 people across 6 hotels, 4 restaurants, a sports club, different spas and more. Its international expansion will begin in Italy in late 2021 with the opening of Nolinski Venice, followed by Brach Madrid and Brach Rome, set to open in 2022/2023.
