Inspired by Netflix's legendary "Money Heist", otherwise known as "La Casa de Papel", Hutong invites guests to be fully immersed in one of the most-watched series in the world.
With a delicious eight-dish menu showcasing Hutong's occasionally fiery Northern Chinese cuisine matched with free-flow drinks,Red Lantern Eveningat Hutong is the go-to for after-dark escapism this Halloween. The dinner starts with a selection of three dishes, including the delicate but indulgentWild Mushroom Truffle Bao,lauded by The New York Times as amongst the best dim sum in Manhattan. Main-courses include the signatureMa La Chilli Prawns; tender but crunchy prawns in 'lip-numbing' Sichuan peppercorns and spices. Then comes the star of the evening, Hutongs famousRed Lantern; crispy soft-shell crab served in a basket of fiery Sichuan red peppers wonderfully juicy and spicy. The feast is rounded-off with the delightfully lightBao and Soydessert.
To elevate the evening further, guests can choose to match the meal with free-flow drinks, including Mot Chandon Champagne for AED 398 per person, or Prosecco at AED 248 per person and a selection of Hutongs house cocktails, created especially to compliment the meal. Not to be missed is the 'Papel Martini', a delicious passion fruit riff on the traditional.
Staff will be donned in the TV-show's iconic red jumpsuits and creepy Dali-masks as the resident DJ Ivan Minuti dials-up the ambiance with live music and dancers perform throughout the night. Located in the bustling DIFC, diners can feast on the Red Lantern Evening in Hutongs spectacular interiors, inspired by the Silk Road and admire the intricate design. As temperatures drop, guests can also choose to celebrate the occasion on the restaurants spacious and discreet private terrace.
