The Industry Mourn for the Loss of a Culinary Leader: Michael Wunsch
Michael Wunsch was one of the founding members of Emirates Culinary Guild.
It was with great sadness to announce the demise of a great Culinary leader, Mr. Michael Wunsch. He passed away yesterday, 3rd of September 2019. Michael Wunsch was one of the founding members of Emirates Culinary Guild. He was one of the longest serving members of the said organization and a senior professional in the industry.
Chef Mike showed his support for the Middle East Chef Excellence Awards for past 2 years, as he served as a judge. “It’s great sadness to hear about the sudden demise of Chef Mike, I still remember the first meeting with him in his office. He was so warm and welcoming. He was one of the judges for Hozpitality Group’s Chef Excellence Awards for 2 years. Always smiling and friendly, we will miss his presence in our events and in other industry events in Dubai”, says Vandana Bhatt, MD Hozpitality Group.
Michael Wunsch originally hailed from Germany, but he had made his home in Dubai for more than 19 years. Hospitality industry in Dubai will remember his kind gesture and smiling face, May his soul rest in peace! You will always be missed Chef Mike!
