Immersive Bedouin Experience at Camp Nujum by Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara
An exclusive desert camping experience reopens

December 2020 (Abu Dhabi, UAE)Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara has reopened the immersive Camp Nujum, which launched at the start of the year. The exclusive desert camping experience reopens with new cultural touchpoints, plus health and safety measures for optimum peace of mind.
Providing an authentic taste of Bedouin culture, Camp Nujum whisks guests away into the majestic dunes of the Empty Quarter for an unforgettable experience under the star-filled desert skies. Guests depart from Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara and embark across the sands on camelback, arriving to enjoy local delicacies dates, Arabic coffee and more and discover the local organic method of teeth-cleaning with a miswak.
At the camp, guests are greeted by the camp host and can admire the spectacular sunset from atop a nearby dune. Sandboards are available to ride down the dunes. An evening barbecue feast featuring local dishes is accompanied by myths and legends spun by the Storytelling Guru, bringing the culture of the Liwa Oasis and the history to vivid life.
Guests spending the night at Camp Nujum retreat to a traditional Bedouin tent, with a maximum capacity of four people in each of the three tents, and upgraded features such as hygienically sealed linens, sanitising stations and increased air filtration. For complete peace of mind, all guests pass through a thermometry disinfection channel upon arrival at the resort, before embarking on their journey into the desert. While all resort staff, including the Camp Nujum chefs, receive regular health testing, guests at the camp can opt to prepare their own Bedouin barbecue feast under the stars if they wish.
In the morning, guests wake up to a sunrise falconry demonstration and enjoy a wholesome breakfast before heading back to the resort. Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara enjoys an unbeatable location on the edge of the Empty Quarter, perfectly placed for captivating journeys into old Arabia.
Rates start form AED 2,000 per person, inclusive of soft beverages. AED 2,400 per person, inclusive of house beverages.
