Jumeira Rotana Conducts Successful Fire Drill with Department of Civil Defense
Hotel's initiative to ensure constant preparedness for any emergency.
Dubai, UAE: Jumeira Rotana Dubai conducted a successful fire drill involving all hotel colleagues in collaboration with the Department of Civil Defense in Dubai. The exercise was in line with Jumeira Rotana’s initiative to ensure constant preparedness for any emergency to provide a safe environment for all guests and teams.
This annual exercise covers tests of all required areas and procedures, such as warning systems, procedures and the handling of a full building evacuation itself. During the drill colleagues and guests who have been previously invited to participate, evacuated the building once the alert was raised. All colleagues were fully aware of the safety procedures and measures to be taken.
Mr. Ulrich Hoffmeister, General Manager of Jumeira Rotana said, “Incidents cannot be predicted and may happen at anytime. The key to handle such cases successfully lies in the proper preparedness, constant vigilance and proper trainings. To increase awareness and for the sake of general prevention of incidents, we are conducting a series of trainings and internal exercises with all colleagues.”

The evacuation drill was successful and fully met the purpose of increasing awareness and preparedness amongst the teams.
